Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities is a state agency dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through employment, disability determinations, accessibility, and independence. Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is one of our primary funding sources. OOD offers vocational rehabilitation and related services to eligible Ohio residents with disabilities seeking employment. The organization promotes independence and economic self-sufficiency. In partnership with the federal Social Security Administration, OOD is responsible for determining the medical eligibility of Ohioans seeking Social Security benefits.

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) develops and supervises the state's public assistance, workforce development, unemployment insurance program, child and adult protective services, adoption, child care, and child support programs. The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DoDD) plays a crucial role in ensuring programs, services, and support are available for individuals with developmental disabilities. The Department provides funding assistance for residential and support services to the 88 county boards of developmental disabilities in Ohio. Additionally, it contracts with community providers to offer residential and protective services and operates regional developmental centers throughout Ohio that provide residential care.
